Top 3 Tips on Christmas Card Recycling

If you have decided to celebrate this Christmas in some special manner, I am sure you have thought of creating a few handmade cards for your bear and dear ones. If this is so, then I am sure you will enjoy the tips on Christmas card recycling that I offer in this article~

With handmade Christmas cards, the entire family becomes creative and there is no joy like the joy of creating something from scratch. Moreover there is a special aura about handmade cards that is missing in the readymade ones!

Okay, so here are some tips on Christmas card recycling:

1. Save your old cards: Okay, for the process to work, you need to save your old Christmas cards instead of throwing them away as 'rubbish'. The best place to store them for future use is where you keep your other Christmas decorations; that way, you or your children will always be able to find them out easily on the eve of the next Christmas! Don't keep them at any other place or they will either end up getting damaged or thrown out by you!

2. Create tree decorations: There are many crafts you can construct at home, and one of the most common Christmas crafts is the snowmen. And creating it is not as hard as you think! Get a cardboard and cut the snowmen from the card. Then ask your children to embellish the snowmen. Punch the top of the card to create a little hole so that you can attach a yarn and tie at the top. Once you are done, you can hang this decoration from your Christmas tree!

Remember that you are not limited to just snowmen; you can create several other tree decorations such as Christmas wreaths, bells, and even Christmas trees!

Another tree decoration that you can create using the process of card recycling is paper pompoms. For this project, try to get thin cards; the thinner the card, the better! Now, cut about eight discs from the front of each card; keep in mind that the size of each disc should be no more than four inches. Fold each of the discs into half, and then stitch the middle of the discs using staples. Fold the cards in a vertical manner, and also make sure that one layer of each side is joined together with the help of staples.
Continue the process of stapling and layering until you are done with the pompom. Then just put a string of yarn at the top and hang it from your tree, just like the other Christmas decorations!

3. Create gift tags: With Christmas card recycling, you are not limited to just tree decorations; you can create many other things! How about gift tags? They are easy to do! You only need to cut your preferred shapes from the cards and then write From: and To: on the back of each tag!
