Get over light bulbs and try some
candles this Christmas for a change. In good old days, when
there was no electricity, Christmas used to be celebrated with
the help of candles. If you want, you can revive that old
tradition in this year. Unlike electric lights, candles not
only make your rooms cooler but also enhance the romantic
atmosphere of the Christmas party, even after the party is
over!
Candles have a radiance about them which makes us feel the true
spirit and significance of Christmas; you wouldn't be able to
find that radiance in electric lights!
1. Save on electricity: One of the reasons why we switch off
the lights immediately after the end of the party is to save on
electricity. Hey, we really don't want to end up with a huge
power bill as a New Year gift, do we? But if you use candles,
you can leave them burning even after the party is over. That
was how your grandparents used to celebrate Christmas.
Long after the party was over and the guests gone, they either
used to play music or talk with the other members of the
family, while basking in the glow of the soft and flickering
candle lights! Not only that, they also used to light candles
after sunset, again because there was no electricity at that
time!
Don't you want to revive that old tradition? Don't you want the
same loving and pleasant ambiance for your Christmas party?
Don't you want the same soft aroma of candles to last long
after the party is over? You can do all these things and much
more if you use candle lights this Christmas.
2. Enjoy some sweet moments with your date: Have you ever
wondered why lovers almost always insist on having candlelight
dinners? You can have the most romantic night with your date
only with candle lights. The flickering glow of candles is the
only thing that has the power to keep romance alive.
For your next date, be sure to invite your date on a special
Christmas night dinner, and make sure you use candles to light
the dining room and have music playing in the background. This
would enhance the romantic mood of both of you!
3. Learn the true essence of Christmas: Candles are the only
things which can teach you the true meaning and significance of
Christmas. Candles symbolize the Light that Christ brought to
our world. Just as you use candles on every Sunday of Advent
during December, parishioners also light candles on the eve of
Xmas to tell the world about the Light that Jesus Christ gave
the world when he sacrificed his life for us!
